Dr. Emily (Haraburda) D’anna is a distinguished alumna of East
Kentwood High School, graduating in the Class of 2000. Her academic journey began with acceptance into the University of Michigan College of Pharmacy Preferred Admissions program, culminating in the achievement of her Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree in 2006. Dr. D’anna’s postgraduate years included residencies in South Carolina and at St. Louis Children’s Hospital, where she subsequently served as the Pediatric Neurosciences Clinical Pharmacist and residency program coordinator. Returning to Grand Rapids in 2014, Dr. D’anna took on the role of Pediatric Critical Care/Cardiac Critical Care Clinical Pharmacy Specialist at Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital. With a passion for patient safety, she transitioned to Medication Safety Clinical Pharmacy Specialist in 2017, obtaining certifications as a Certified Professional in Patient Safety (CPPS) in 2018 and completing a Medication Safety Certification Program in 2020. Currently, Dr. D’anna serves as a Medication Safety Clinical Pharmacy Specialist at Corewell Health, focusing on enhancing medication management practices across the healthcare system. Beyond her professional achievements, she is a devoted wife to her college sweetheart, Cristian, and a proud mother to Tessa and Izzy. |
