Jonathan Henry, a 2010 graduate of East Kentwood High School, is a testament to the power of dedication and a commitment to serving others.
Born at the University of Michigan Hospital and raised in Muskegon, Michigan, Jonathan moved to Kentwood for his middle and high school years. He excelled both academically and athletically at East Kentwood High School, participating in football and track. His passion for helping others, coupled with his competitive spirit, led him to pursue a career in medicine. Jonathan's journey has taken him from East Kentwood to Western Michigan University, where he earned a football scholarship and thrived as a student athlete for five years. He then pursued his Master's degree at Harvard University, conducting research projects at the prestigious Massachusetts General Hospital. He is currently in his fourth year of medical school at the American University of the Caribbean, diligently preparing for a career dedicated to improving lives. Jonathan credits the diverse environment at East Kentwood with preparing him to work effectively with people from all walks of life. He cherishes the camaraderie and friendships forged on the football field and track, experiences that shaped him into the person he is today. He believes these memories will be passed down to future generations of his family. Looking ahead, Jonathan envisions a future where he can make a significant impact as a practicing physician, serving communities and improving the lives of countless individuals alongside his significant other, Jimelia. |
