Ken Watkins
Class of 1981
Ken is the owner and President of Architectural Concepts. A graduate of the University of Michigan with both a bachelor’s degree (’85) and a master’s degree (’87) in architecture. He has been practicing for over 25 years. He currently is licensed in 11 states. Ken is a huge supporter of East Kentwood High School and provides students with countless job shadow experiences. In addition, he provides internships for architecture students from various universities. And on top of that, he provides for pro bono architectural services for various non-profits and mission related ministries in the US, Haiti, Kenya and South Sudan.
Ken is on the board of trustees at Cornerstone Church and is the chairperson of the administrative committee as well as the short term mission team leader. He is also a founding member and the director of field operations for Zoe Waters, a Christian mission focused on sharing the Good News with those who have limited access to clean water and the gospel. He makes a difference everyday. Ken and his wife Shelly have two children, both graduates of East Kentwood High School. |
