Kurt Kimball

Kurt F. Kimball served for 20 years as the City Manager of Grand Rapids. Kimball worked for Grand Rapids for more than 33 years and has lived here for more than 50.
Upon retiring from the City Manager role, he joins Pondera Advisors, a consulting group specializing in Leadership consulting practice, specializing in strategic planning, leadership development and team building. He retired from Pondera in 2020 as a managing partner. Kurt was named Newsmaker of the Year in 1996 by the Grand Rapids Business Journal. He is one of the architects of the Grand Valley Metroplitan Council. His activities have included President of the Michigan City Management Association, Charman of the Joint/City Building Authoritity. Kurt is married to Randy, a retired Kentwood Elementary Teacher. They have two daughters, Tammi and Kari. |
