Peg Edvenson

Peg and her husband are from Iowa and, despite living in Spartan and Wolverine country, they remain die hard Hawkeyes
. Peg graduated from Coe College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa with a degree in music and elementary education with special education certification. She taught special education for four years in Iowa before moving to Grand Rapids in 1980 and Kentwood in 1985. Their two daughters went to KPS K-12. Heather graduated in 2001 and has a MA in Chemistry and is Education Supervisor at Science City in Kansas City, Michelle graduated in 2003 and has a MA in Early Childhood Education and she has a 2 ½ year-old little girl. Peg’s community service is extensive including serving in the following roles: Region 4 Director and former KPS Coordinator for Odyssey of the Mind, Kentwood Baseball League Sponsor Coordinator and all around volunteer, Sudanese teen sponsor, and continual School volunteer. During her career, she has has earned several awards that demonstrate her passion and enthusiasm for her subjects and her students, including:
