Dr. Stephanie Berry Dixon, a proud East Kentwood High School Class
of 2004 alumna, has emerged as a dedicated medical professional making significant contributions in the field of oncology. Currently serving as an Assistant Member in the Department of Oncology, Division of Cancer Survivorship at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee, Dr. Dixon has built a career marked by academic excellence and a commitment to improving the lives of childhood cancer survivors. After graduating from East Kentwood High School, Dr. Dixon pursued a path in biomedical engineering for her undergraduate studies. Her journey then led her to the University of Michigan College of Medicine, where she earned her medical degree. She further honed her skills through a combined internal medicine and pediatrics residency at the University of Cincinnati and Cincinnati Children’s Hospital, followed by a fellowship in pediatric hematology/oncology at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Dr. Dixon complemented her medical training with a Master’s degree in Public Health from the Rollins School of Public Health at Emory University, specializing in applied epidemiology. Joining the faculty at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital Division of Cancer Survivorship in 2020,Dr. Dixon focuses on the care of childhood cancer survivors and children newly diagnosed with Hodgkin and non-Hodgkin lymphomas. Dr. Dixon is actively involved in clinical research focused onlate health outcomes after childhood cancer treatment. Beyond her professional accomplishments, Dr. Dixon values spending time with her husband, Griffin Dixon, a Rockford High School alumnus, and their two daughters, Ava and Gwen. |
